Potting Shed

Forks and sometime spoons will work in my garden whether it is on the table or in the yard.

Looking for some old shovels for my shed..will go over to the swap meet to see what I can find....shovels have stories to tell about the life of their passed owners..can you tell if they were loved or left out in the weather, next time you are cleaning your garden take time to clean you shovels...they have shoveled a lot of manure..

As the days grow closer to Thanksgiving I look out my window here in the shed and see the leaves fall with the cold rains of November....I know that within a few months the ground will be green again waiting for my shovel to break the spring ground...but just for today I will sit and view the coming months with eyes of thanks...

Just for today I will clean out the shed of dirt, grass seeds and maybe clean up the old work boots caked with garden mud and weeds. The rain has stopped and Christmas is just making its way to my back door.Old dog is looking at me as to say "are you working in the mud again"? Time to enjoy the warm winter sun that falls gently on the old wooden bench which holds my cold coffee cup and an apple..time to just remember..

A friend called last night from Texas and was telling me that he was readying his garden for a class he was to teach on Thursday regarding the soil and how it will hold life till the soil and weather is ready to give birth to the seeds. Isn't that how we are with our own dreams? Waiting till the time is just right for life to burst through and make our dreams come true. In the waiting I am planting my dreams.

MY project to improve the back yard with a new walk way.

 What a mess I have....

FINISHED 1st Step
